An Update on Max
A
Letter to George and Mike Shuba about Max's Progress
Hello,
Well Max had his 3rd game and went 2 for 2 again with his coaches telling
him he won the golden glove this game. His fielding is really picking
up great - he just gets a little frustrated that not a lot of his team
mates can catch the ball. On one second attempt of going to third he ran
the ball just a foot shy of the 3rd base girl and then yelled put out
your glove and he gently tossed it in her glove and they made the out.
After he turned and smiled at her and said good catch. Such a ham!
Here are some photos of him in uniform and with his autographed picture.
I am trying to do something fun with one and if it works I will forward
it on. He should get his baseball cards pretty soon. He asked the photographer
(who is a family friend) if he could do Max's up really great and add
his new (self proclaimed) nickname on his cards. So they will read Max
"Lil' Shotgun" Turnquist - hope you don't mind a new family
member. As I said before he could not have picked a better role model
for himself to look up to! His papa got him a ball on a string and now
that is hanging in our garage for him to take his 600 swings a day at.
I think he does about 50 but hey whose counting!
Hope you both are having a great start to summer! If you have a snail
mail business address please forward it on.
Max would like to autograph his baseball card and send it to George!
Have a super day,
Kim, Mark and Max
